ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — An overturned semi-tractor trailer on northbound Lindbergh at I-70 has been cleared. All lanes and the ramp on to I-to is open at this time.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — A semi-tractor trailer carrying books flipped on northbound Lindbergh Boulevard (Route 61/67) near I-70 this afternoon, and it could be close to sunset before the mess is cleaned up.

At this time, the truck is blocking one left lane on northbound Lindbergh. However, the ramp from westbound I-70 to northbound Lindbergh is also closed due to the overturned truck, according to MoDOT.

Bridgeton Police Captain Mark Mossotti tells KMOX that the books need to be unloaded from the semi before they can move the truck.

Currently, emergency crews on the scene are estimating that the ramp will remain closed up to five hours (5:24 p.m.)

Mossotti says the truck driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
