COLUMBIA, IL. (KMOX) - Police in Columbia Illinois are searching for a bandit believed to be a woman who robbed the Commerce Bank in Columbia, Illinois.
Police say the woman (or man with very heavy makeup and a grey wig) walked into the bank located at 995 Columbia Centre, around 1:02 p.m. on Monday.
She handed the teller a note stating that she had a gun and she wanted money. The teller complied and gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash.
Police say the suspect was inside the bank for just over a minute and a half before leaving through a door that led to an adjoining grocery store, The Market Place.
