ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – One assessment of the recent hacking of the Federal Reserve’s website comes from Vice President and Consultant with Secure Banking Solutions.

Jon Waldman thinks the activist group “Anonymous” may have hacked into more than just banking executives phone numbers and e-mails.

“Our best guess is this was the least sensitive amount of information that they probably have” said Waldman.

They could have account information for wire and electronic phone transfers.

He says the group Anonymous has threatened the justice department that it will release more encrypted sensitive information unless there is more punishment for cyber crime.

He doubts the Justice Department will respond. But whether Anonymous is bluffing, which it has done before, Waldman doesn’t want to contemplate those consequences.
