Alderman Antonio French, 21st ward
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The first day of so-called “hot spot policing” in north St. Louis’ troubled College Hill neighborhood has netted 11 arrests and the recovery of two guns.
Police report three drug arrests, three parole or probation violations and two DWIs in addition to arrests for unlawful use of a weapon, a bench warrant and trying to break into a vehicle.
Up to eighty officers are patrolling the neighborhood, which has seen four shootings, including three murders, in just over a week.
Thus far, no arrests have been made in the shootings.
