FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOX) — Police in Ferguson are investigating after a man was found shot near St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the victim jumped out of the vehicle and was later found by someone driving by on Hudson Rd. in front of the campus archery range

A witness told police he saw the wounded man, picked him up and took him to an administration building on campus.

The man was then taken to DePaul Health Center. His condition was not immediately known.

Florissant Valley Community College officials said classes would resume as normal because the shooting did not happen on campus.
