ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Blues GM Doug Armstrong announced the club has activated forward Vladimir Tarasenko from Injured Reserve (IR). In addition, the club placed forward T.J. Oshie on IR.
Tarasenko, 21, has dressed in 17 games this season posting 12 points including six goals and six assists to go along with eight penalty minutes. The 6’0, 219-pound forward, in his first National Hockey League (NHL) season, is tied for seventh among rookies in points while he is tied for fourth in goals and power play goals (2). The Yaroslavl, Russia native was drafted by the Blues in the first round (16th overall) of the 2010 Entry Draft.
Oshie, 26, has dressed in 26 games this season registering 17 points including five goals and 12 assists to go along with 13 penalty minutes. Overall, the 5’11, 189-pound forward is in his fifth NHL season, all with the Blues, accumulating 192 points (68 goals, 124 assists) and 144 penalty minutes in 288 career games.
