EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) — A 19-year-old Pierron, Illinois woman faces a drug induced homicide charge after her friend overdosed on heroin.
18-year-old Charles Gammon died Friday after taking heroin in his home in Troy, Illinois.
Police were called to Gammon’s home that morning after receiving a call about an unresponsive man.
Investigators determined that Elizabeth Brown gave Gammon heroin approximately two hours earlier.
Brown is currently in the custody of the Madison County Jail in Edwardsville with a bond of $100,000.
Maximum penalty for a Class X Felony is 6 to 30 years in prison.
