2 Charged in St. Charles Steak ‘N Shake Robbery That Injured Officers

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOX) — Two 18 year-olds face robbery and armed criminal action charges after holding up a Steak ‘N Shake, then ramming two patrol cars in an attempt to escape Wednesday morning.

Joshua Stone of St. Louis and Seth Thompson of St. Charles are each currently being held on a $250,000 bond.

According to the St. Charles Police Department the two men walked into the Steak ‘N Shake at 2221 Capitol Dr. around 4:00 a.m. displayed a handgun and demanded money from employees.

After Stone and Thompson received money they fled out the back door of the restaurant.

Officers caught up with the two men a block over on Bel Rae Ct., but before they could arrest the suspects, Stone and Thompson drove their car into two police vehicles. Their attempt to escape didn’t work and the men were taken into custody without further incident.

During the arrest two male officers received minor injuries. One officer was taken to the hospital and the other was treated at the scene.
