ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Rock ‘n roll and country music will entertain the crowds at Fair St. Louis this year, according to organizers.

The 33rd annual event will kick off July 4th, with one of country music’s most accomplished entertainers, Trace Adkins. Adkins was made most famous by his chart-topping hits, “Ladies Love Country Boys” and “You’re Gonna Miss This.”

The Grammy-nominated artist has sold 10 million country albums and made it to the Celebrity Apprentice finals.

Trace released his tenth studio album in 2011, which debuted atop the Billboard Country Chart and featured Top Ten single “Just Fishin’.” The following year, he served as the co-host of the AMAs for the third consecutive year.

Multiplatinum rock superstar Brett Michaels will headline Friday, July 5th.

As the front man of Poison, Michaels helped define rock ‘n roll while selling 30 million records and churning out numerous hit singles.

His last solo album topped the Billboard Hard Rock charts, and his new album in June, Bret Michaels: Good Songs and Great Friends, promises to be just as successful, featuring contributors including JoePerry of Aerosmith, Jimmy Buffett, and Ace Frehely of Kiss.

Michaels’ 100 million-dollar realm extends across multiple channels, from record-breaking reality TV stardom to his various retail product lines. His Life Rocks Foundation charity has raised tens of millions of dollars for various causes including diabetes research, which is near to his heart since being diagnosed with the Type 1 variation of the disease at the age of six.

Saturday, July 6th Modern rock band Counting Crows will headline.

They are known for writing from the heart and challenging themselves in their music– and it has certainly paid off. They have appealed to nearly every kind of music fan since they exploded onto the scene in 1993 with the multiplatinum album August and Everything After.

The same year, they were picked to stand in for Van Halen at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, now credited as a major player in their success. Hit singles “Mr. Jones” and “Accidentally in Love” are top singles that have helped to fuel the San Francisco-based band toward several Grammy and AMA nods.

Their acclaimed sixth album, Underwater Sunshine, was released in April 2012, and features covers from the 60’s up to the present.
