Boil Order Lifted for St. Louis Hills

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — The precautionary boil order advisory has been lifted for the St. Louis Hills neighborhood affected by Monday’s water main break.

Water test results show no signs of bacteria in the lines.

Water is safe to drink.

21 homes along Jamieson Avenue remain without water. Water is expected to be restored to those homes by 8 p.m., but those residents should continue to boil their water as a precaution until more testing can be completed on Wednesday.

Water Division crews will hang placards on the doors of the 21 homes where people should continue to follow the precautionary boil water advisory until further notice.

Jamieson Avenue at Westway (where the break occurred) will be under construction through Friday while crews work to make all repairs.
