GRANITE CITY, IL (KMOX) - The Granite City Animal Protection Agency is asking for help after several kittens were found in a dumpster.

Kandice Koehler said the two mother cats and their kittens were found near an APA dumpster Thursday morning around seven o’clock.

“There was three boxes behind a dumpster with blue duct tape all around them,” she explained. “I already knew what had happened because it’s happened before. I brought the boxes in one-by-one. One box was empty but the duct tape was covered in fur so I knew that the cats had gotten out.”

The Granite City APA, located on Canham Rd., is asking for kitten food and supplies. Right now they are caring for over a dozen kittens and two adult cats and they expect to find more.
