Two people have been shot at a home in Wentzville and one of them is dead.
Police got the call around 3.30 Saturday afternoon from a home in the 2-hundred block of Niagra, just north of the Wentzville Parkway.
When police arrived they found a teenage boy shot and wounded and lying in the driveway. Officers say he’s the person who called 9-1-1.
Suspecting someone with a gun was still inside the house, police brought in a SWAT team and moved nearby neighbors to safety.
The boy was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
When police entered the home in the Stone Ridge Canyon subdivision, they found the boy’s mother — 44-year-old Lori Anderson — shot to death. It’s not yet known if her bullet wound was self-inflicted.
Their neighbors have been allowed to return and police continue their investigation.
