Driver Killed, Passengers Hurt After Running Red Light

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) — One person is dead, two others injured in a crash late Wednesday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol say it happened at Airport Road and Evergreen in Berkeley when a pickup truck driven by 29-year-old Leroy Jennings ran a red light and into the path of an eastbound car.

The truck was pushed into a utility pole.

Jennings was killed, his passenger seriously injured.

The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries.

First responders had to fight their way through a crowd of up to 300 onlookers who had gathered at the crash site.


And an Affton woman is dead after crashing on southbound I-55 near Lindbergh just before 7 Wednesday evening.

20-year-old Lindsey Puff was ejected after her car struck a guardrail.
