ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — St. Louis Cardinals third baseman, David Freese, has just signed a three-year agreement to represent another hometown team Imo’s Pizza. Freese will be spokesman for Imo’s television, radio, print and digital with new spots to be produced within the next month. Freese will also participate in several personal appearances and meet & greet events.
In addition, Imo’s will donate $10,000 to Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis in a philanthropic program in conjunction with David Freese.
“I grew up on Imo’s Pizza. It’s always been my favorite pizza and so I am very excited to now represent this great St. Louis Company,” explained Freese. “Nowhere else can you get that unique, delicious square beyond compare taste than at Imo’s. So it won’t be difficult for me at all to be the new spokesperson.”
“We’re also very excited to have David as our spokesperson. We found out after his great 2011 Playoff and World Series performance that David loved Imo’s Pizza and we’ve been trying to get together now for about a year. We just love that he endorsed Imo’s on his own before we officially partnered,” said Ed Imo, president of Imo’s Pizza.
