Election Returns

WASHINGTON (KMOX) – Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) says Hillary Clinton called her, after she endorsed Clinton for president.

On CNN McCaskill would only say the two had a “great conversation.”

McCaskill was also confronted on her decision to endorse Clinton for President so early-on.

“This is not complicated,” said McCaskill. “Hillary Clinton is the strongest, the most qualified, and extraordinary candidate for president.”

McCaskill said it was a difficult choice between President Obama and Clinton when they ran against one another in 2008. But now, “I’m excited to be able to work on her behalf, and hopefully see her take her place behind the desk in the Oval Office.”
