FLORISSANT, Mo. (KMOX) – A 22 year old Florissant mother is accused of breaking her 11-week-old son’s arm at their home last month.
Officer Andy Haarmann, a spokesman for the Florissant Police Department said Alison Honkomp was charged with second-degree assault stemming from an incident on June 18th.
Police said doctors at Children’s Hospital determined the baby’s arm had a spiral break, which is consistent with child abuse. He remains hospitalized. The Division of Family Services is now working to find a suitable guardian for the baby.
Honkomp remains in custody on a $10,000 bond.
