Metro East Officer Hurt in Crash

St Louis (KMOX) A Metro-East police officer is in the hospital after his squad car was struck by a vehicle that was attempting to elude another police car. The officer was ejected.

According to KMOV- it happened early this (Sunday) morning in Brooklyn, IL. Police report the driver of the suspect vehicle-Melvin Fraction of St. Louis-was transported to the hospital-treated-and released to jail. He is facing multiple felony charges.

The Brooklyn police officer is said to be in serious-but stable condition.
