ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis drivers can expect delays as the Missouri Department of Transportation announced road closures to heavily traveled areas due to construction.

MoDOT is closing the two lanes on eastbound and westbound I-64 at Jefferson on Saturday from 5 a.m. to noon. One-lane closures will remain in the area of I-64 in either direction between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The ramp from Jefferson to westbound I-64 is open.

MoDOT is also closing up to two lanes on westbound I-70 between Biddle and Branch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. The closure comes in part of the new Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge construction.

MoDOT says it has begun night work on Route 109 between I-44 and Route 100. One lane in each direction will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays. Traffic will be escorted through this work zone by following a pilot car, a construction vehicle with emergency lights used to guide motorists safely through a narrow work zone, during the one-lane closures.
