Police: Beer Spilled, Argument, Man Killed

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — St. Louis police say a 29-year-old man is dead after an argument over spilled beer.
St. Louis homicide detectives say the argument began around midnight Thursday when one of four men riding in a car near Kiener Plaza spilled a beer.
The man who spilled the beer allegedly pulled out a gun and fired multiple times striking a fellow passenger in the chest, killing him immediately.
According to police the shooter then decided to run, but was chased down and tackled by another man in the car.
The 34-year-old shooter and the other man got into a fistfight but was able to be held until police arrived.
The shooter suffered a head injury and cuts from the fight. The other man suffered lacerations, and was treated at the scene.
The weapon was recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
