St. Peters Robber Caught by GPS App

ST. PETER’S MO. (KMOX) – A St. Peter’s man who once served 15 months in prison for burglary and who has outstanding arrest warrants for assault is back behind bars.

This time, Benjamin Lillard, 23, is charged with receiving stolen property.

Police say Lillard was hiding in the attic of his home on Country Creek when police arrested him.

Prosecutors claim it was Lillard who walked through an unlocked door at a home on Comstock Station while the homeowner slept and took a cell phone and cash from a kitchen table.

A GPS app on the phone led police to Lillard’s home where they found the phone and a stolen gun.

He came down from the attic without incident and is now being held on $5,000 bond.
