JEFFERSON CITY, MO. (KMOX) – That mysterious stomach ailment that has sickened hundreds nationwide may have come to Missouri.
Health officials say Missouri has two cases of that nasty stomach bug that has hit more than a dozen states, but a direct link has not been confirmed.
The Missouri Department of Health says the cases of Cyclospora have been reported in Jackson and Taney Counties.
State officials are working with the Centers for Disease Control and other agencies to determine whether the cases are linked to other states.
So far the source of the illnesses has not been found. Symptoms include diarrhea, stomach cramps and nausea.
