Two Days, Two Triple Shootings

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - For the second straight day, St. Louis Police are left looking for suspects after a triple shooting on the city’s north side.
Monday it happened in broad daylight, just ten blocks from where Mayor Francis Slay and Police Chief Sam Dotson attended a neighborhood crime summit.
Around 4:30 p.m., in the 4500 block of Evans, a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and ski mask came from behind buildings and shot two men and a woman.
One of those hit is believed to have been the intended target. He was shot in the head with what police believe was a large caliber handgun.
Just several hours after Monday’s shooting, Police Chief Dotson tweeted that no one has been willing to come forward to give police information. The chief went on to say “We must do better.”
Less than twelve hours later, an overnight shooting left two men and a woman injured. It occurred in the 5400 block of Genevieve around 2:00 a.m.
Police say a man believed to be in his 30s was shot in the hip. A woman in her 30s and a teenage boy were shot in the leg. No description was given of the suspect.
Victims of Monday’s shooting were initially listed in critical condition. The victims in the shooting Tuesday morning were taken to Barnes-Jewish hospital and listed in stable condition.
