Arrest Made in North County Gas Station Killing

BELLEFONTAINE NEIGHBORS, Mo. (KMOX) – Investigators believe they have solved Saturday’s killing of a Bellefontaine Neighbors gas station owner.

Major Case Squad detectives say they have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of 63-year-old Irshad Kahn. They will be seeking warrants later Wednesday morning.

Major Case Squad Deputy Commander Sean Fagan says one of Kahn’s regular customers noticed something was wrong at the Conoco station on Bellefontaine Road, just before 9:30 Saturday night.

“When they were unable to locate him to make a purchase, they called the Bellefontaine Police Department. Officers showed up, and that’s when they found the owner in his office, shot and killed there,” Fagan explains.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the store.

Surveillance photos and videos were released to the public over the weekend in hopes of tracking down a person of interest.
