Police: Man Attempted To Abduct 4th Grader in Bridgeton

BRIDGETON, Mo. (KMOX) — A 4th grade girl was able to escape this morning, when a man in a white panel van tried to pick her up at her school bus stop.

It happened at about 8 a.m. in the 4100 block of Muro, near Natural Bridge and Fee Fee Rd.

“He came up to her and asked her to help him find something inside his van,” Lt. Steve James told KMOX.

When the girl refused, he then grabbed her arm. Lt. James said the girl was able to get away and ran from the scene.

She describes the man as white, around the age of 40, about 5’11”, with brown hair and eyes. He was wearing a camo shirt a black ballcap. He has a tattoo on the upper side of his right forearm.
