A-Z at the Science Center

Jacqueline Dodge

During the month of August KMOX has had the pleasure of visiting popular St. Louis hot spots each day of the month. On August 22, 2013 I was lucky enough to attend the remote appearance at none other than the Science Center! We arrived on site around 10:45 am to set up our lovely KMOX tent and signage right outside the front entrance of the building. After finishing setup, the Science Center graciously gave myself and the promotional team free passes to the featured “Lost Egypt” exhibit as well as passes for a free showing at the Omnimax theater to hand out to incoming guests. The “Lost Egypt” exhibit not only featured hands on activities and ancient artifacts. It also showcased a real human mummy! Needless to say, it was a great day for listeners to come visit the Science Center.

For the time period the promotional team was present, we had a steady flow of visitors stopping by to receive the give-a-ways.  Our visitors also had the pleasure of meeting KMOX personality Carol Daniel.  She was very personable and energetic and joined in on the pictures for the day’s event. Before we departed from the Science Center, we had a chance to explore the exhibits they had on display. My personal favorite has always been the enormous dinosaur display by the main entrance! Overall, visiting the Science Center was awesome and I can’t wait to visit again soon!
