Record-Setting Heat in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – When you’re hot, you’re hot.

The National Weather Service office in St. Louis says two records were set at Lambert International Airport on Friday.

The mercury reached 102 degrees, smashing the old high of 100 for August 30th.

Also, a new “highest” overnight low was set for the date— 79 degrees— beating the previous 77 degrees set in 2000.

A Heat Advisory remained in effect for the region through Saturday evening.
