The most important aspect of the injury list the St. Louis Rams reported to NFL on Thursday, is not so much the players listed as banged up and possibly not able to play in Sunday’s season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, as it is the players that were not listed.

ST. LOUIS, MO - AUGUST 29: Isaiah Pead #24 of the St. Louis Rams slips a tackle by Alex Copeland #48 of the Baltimore Ravens during a pre-season game at the Edward Jones Dome on August 29, 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri.

St. Louis didn’t have any ailments to mention at all to any of its projected 22 starters. At least they didn’t put any on the injury report.

So that means, at least according to the report, the Rams offensive and defensive starters are completely healthy and ready to go for the season opener.

Even players coming off significant injuries like right tackle Rodger Saffold, who dislocated his right shoulder in the preseason opener against Cleveland, and tight end Lance Kendricks, who didn’t play in any of the preseason games as he recovered from offseason surgery, were not mentioned among the injured on Thursday’s list.

The four players that did have injuries to report were tight end Cory Harkey (knee); cornerback Quinton Pointer (thigh); safety Darian Stewart (thigh); and linebacker Jonathan Stewart (hip). None of those four practiced on Wednesday or Thursday, and all are expected to be inactive on Sunday.

Arizona’s injury report included several starters who were limited in practice on Thursday.

Cornerback Javier Arenas (hip), defensive tackle Dan Williams (ankle), running back Rashard Mendenhall (knee), and wide receiver Andre Roberts (quad) are expected to play on Sunday, but all took turns participating in only certain drills or team periods at Cardinals practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

Arenas was able to practice fully on Thursday, while tight ends Rob Housler (ankle) and D.C. Jefferson (knee) continue to sit out.

Both clubs will have one more full practice on Friday, before conducting their light workout walk-throughs on Saturday.
