ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - One of two Union, Missouri teachers accused of sexually assaulting a woman is scheduled to be sentenced today.
31-year-old Matthew Rogers, who taught sixth grade at Clark-Vitt Elementary School, pleaded guilty in February to one count of conspiring to commit sexual assault. A deviate sexual assault charge was dropped.
Rogers and former physical education teacher and coach Brad Julius, 32, were charged in June of 2011 after a 37-year-old woman accused them of having intercourse with her without her consent after they had been drinking.
The victim was a friend of Rogers and Julius but is not connected to the school district.
Julius was convicted last month for sexual assault. He is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
