ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Newsradio 1120 KMOX is your home for St. Louis Cardinals World Series games.

Cards General Manager John Mozeliak predicts the Boston Red Sox will be a tough opponent, “I think when you look at their lineup, you realize how deep they are. They’re a typical American League team. They tend to grind out at-bats and have very patient hitters. They are a very good team. I think it’s exciting you are seeing two 97-win clubs going head-to-head.”

Mozeliak was a guest on KMOX’s “Sports on a Sunday Morning.” Host Ron Jacober asked him if 15-game winner Shelby Miller is healthy.

Mozeliak said, “Completely healthy. He’s sort of always our insurance blanket when we go into a game. If we have a starter who’s struggling, Mike Matheny has the option of putting him in right away.”

The World Series begins Wednesday night at Fenway Park.

Mozeliak has until ten that morning to turn in his roster.

Will injured first baseman Allen Craig be healthy enough to be included on it? Mozeliak said, “I’m very hopeful. We’re going to keep pushing him and hope it works out.”
