St. Louis and Boston Symphonies Create World Series Video

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Both the St Louis and Boston Symphony Orchestras are baseball lovers. To be more exact–Boston’s loves the Red Sox and St Louis’ loves the Cardinals.

So to show their support of their home town teams-the 2 symphonies got together and created a video.

It starts with some trash talking.

The Boston musicians bring up the 2004 World Series when the Red Sox swept the Cardinals.

“Oh yeah, thanks for breaking our curse that year. It must have felt really good,” the BSO spokesman says.

A bearded trombone player for the SLSO responds, “Curse? Keep blaming the curse, it’s working for you. You’ve got no chance and we’re here to prove it. And as far as beards go – I had a beard when you were in didees.”

The video ends with both symphonies’ brass sections playing “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better” and “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”

Which symphony played it best? You be the judge:
