Good Samaritan Rescue Has Sad Ending

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Despite the efforts of a Good Samaritan pulling him from the wreckage of his car before it went up in flames, police say the driver has died.

The crash happened Friday afternoon in St. Louis, on Riverview Boulevard near Melrose.

Officers say the car jumped a curb, went through a lawn, then slammed into a railroad trestle support.

The victim, identified only as a 21-year-old man, died of head injuries.
