ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - More than three months after a man was found shot to death inside his vehicle on the city’s south side, two men have been charged in his death.

John Paulsen, 48, was found unconscious in the driver’s seat of his vehicle in the 4200 block of Neosho on July 21. He had been shot in his arm and chest. Paulsen was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Thursday, the Circuit Attorney’s Office issued warrants for second-degree murder, first-degree attempted robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action against Lorenzo Milton, a 22-year old black male of the 4200 block of Meramec.

Warrants for unlawful use of a weapon and tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution were issued against Ronald Milton, a 29-year-old male living in the 7500 block of Stanwood.

According to police, Paulsen had parked his vehicle on Neosho in the Belo neighborhood when he was approached by a man. The suspect, who prosecutors allege is Lorenzo Milton, fired toward Paulsen’s vehicle, hitting him twice, and then fled on foot.
