ST. LOUIS (AP) – Smash-and-grab thieves continue to target beauty supply stores in the St. Louis area.
The latest crime happened just before 4 a.m. Thursday at Forever Young Beauty Supply on the city’s south side. It was the second time in about a month the same store had been hit.
This time, a van drove through the storefront and expensive hair extensions and other merchandise was taken. On Sept. 27, a pickup backed into the store.
Store operators say hair extensions made of real hair are targeted in the thefts. Similar crimes are happening across the country.
