ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District officials say there’s no immediate threat to the public following a south St. Louis County sewage leak Saturday night.

Around 100 gallons of sewage leaked onto the soccer field at St. Bernadette Catholic School. MSD crews were working to unblock a sewer main when sewage began coming up through a manhole.

School administrators have been asked to suspend use of the field until the cleanup is complete. MSD says that should be later today.
