North Side Man Convicted in 2008 Killing of His Grandmother

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A man has been found guilty in the 2008 killing of his grandmother on the city’s north side.

Calvin Brown, 36, was convicted Thursday of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

In November 2008, Brown’s grandmother Clara Little, 73, was found stabbed to death in her home on the 4100 block of Cora Avenue in the Penrose neighborhood.

According to prosecutors, Little’s blood was found on her grandson’s boots and two witnesses identified Brown as the killer.

Brown is scheduled to be sentenced on January 23.
