What Will Happen to David Freese’s Imo’s Endorsement?
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Now that St. Louis-native David Freese is heading to play ball in the eternally sunny Los Angeles, what will happen to his Imo’s endorsement?
The local pizza chain signed a three-year contract with Freese in June, but that contract now must be revisited since Freese won’t be playing in his hometown anymore.
The St. Louis Cardinals announced last week that they traded Freese to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for outfielder Peter Bourjos.
Three of the company’s four television commercials featuring Freese have already aired. A fourth commercial was scheduled to air in January to celebrate Imo’s 50th anniversary.
Imo’s President Margie Imo said in a statement Monday that Freese is still under contract and the company hasn’t made any decisions.
“We have been quite pleased with our association with David,” Imo said. “We wish him only the best in California. At this point, he is still under contract with Imo’s and we have made no decisions as yet about his future with us.”
