ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Three people are charged with assault in connection with an incident that started near police headquarters in Downtown St. Louis Thursday night.

The three suspects approached a man at a gas station at South Grand and Alberta and accused him of stealing their dog.

The argument became physical and the victim’s car window was broken.

The victim drove to police headquarters and police later arrested 27 year old Anthony Simpson, 20 year old Cody Stanton and 50 year old Lisa Stanton. All three have been charged with First Degree Assault and Armed Criminal Action.

The victim had claimed they fired a shot at him at one point but police never found evidence of that.
