3 Injured in East St. Louis Shooting

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOX) – Three people were injured after a shooting Friday afternoon in East St. Louis.

It happened near the Snack Box restaurant on State Street. Police say a man driving a white Ford Expedition began opening fire at another man behind the restaurant.

The shooting victim fled on foot as the shooter chased after him in the SUV, still firing.

The driver of the Expedition then rear-ended another car at the corner of 11th and State streets. The shooting victim attempted to flee in an SUV but struck a pole.

Three people were injured at three separate crime scenes though it wasn’t immediately clear if they were injured in the shooting or the ensuing car wrecks.
