story updated at 10:20pm on Saturday, December 28, 2013:

Less than six hours after announcing Sergey Andronov’s emergency call up, the Blues announced his re-assignment to Chicago of the AHL. He did not dress for Saturday night’s game in St. Louis.

our earlier story:

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Following their game day morning skate on Saturday, the St. Louis Blues announced the emergency call up of forward Sergey Andronov from the team’s top minor-league affiliate Chicago Wolves.

No information was given on the emergency, or if the move was related to forward Alexander Steen being placed on injured reserve with a concussion.

The 24-year-old Andronov had a hat trick, Friday night, for the Wolves in Chicago’s 4-0 win at Lake Erie. It was his first three-goal game in the AHL.

The Blues picked the Russia native in the 3rd round of the 2009 NHL Draft (78th overall).
