At Family Resource Center (FRC), we believe silence is the best friend of child abuse. Our goal in this 40th Anniversary Year is to raise awareness of child abuse and its effects, and focus the efforts of the St. Louis community in stamping out this scourge.
Family Resource Center’s Goal
Family Resource Center (FRC) is preparing to celebrate 40 years as the leader in the St. Louis metropolitan area in working to break this cycle of child abuse and neglect. Our mission is to give abused kids a chance for a better life (1) by preventing all forms of child abuse and neglect; (2) by providing healing to children who have been abused; and (3) by strengthening at-risk teens and families.
About the Family Resource Center
Founded in 1974, we provide one of only three Therapeutic Day Treatment programs in the State for abused children, ages 3-6. In addition, we provide foster care, teen mentoring, parenting training, and counseling/therapy for children, and interventions for family members who need to overcome their own history of abuse or who themselves are at risk of abusing their children. We serve clients in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and the surrounding counties of Franklin, Jefferson, and St. Charles.
