ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A player that brings a mix of toughness and skill to the ice, Ryan Reaves will be wearing the Blue Note for another four years.
Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday that the 26-year-old Reaves has signed a four-year, $4.5 million contract extension.
“We are happy to have Ryan in the fold for the next four years,” said Armstrong. “He has grown into a well-rounded player and will continue to play an important role for our team moving forward.”
Reaves has appeared in 26 games this season, posting five points (two goals, three assists) while ranking third on the club with 65 penalty minutes.
Overall, the 6-foot-1, 224-pound forward has appeared in four NHL seasons, all with the Blues, recording 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) to go along with 346 penalty minutes, which ranks 21st among all players since 2010-11.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 156th overall, of the 2005 NHL Draft.
