Rams Assistant Wants Vandy Job?
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - According to various national media reports, including one from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is interviewing with Vanderbilt University on Wednesday for the school’s vacant head coaching position.
The SEC team lost head coach James Franklin to Penn State, this offseason.
Schottenheimer has 13 years of NFL assistant coaching experience and two years at the college ranks, including past stints at USC and Syracuse.
According to NFL.com reports, Vanderbilt may also be considering Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton and Stanford University defensive coordinator Derek Mason.
