ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - An attempted armed robbery last week resulted in a case of justified homicide on a St. Louis city street.
Police say an unidentified man and a friend were walking in the 4500 block of Blair Avenue around 7:00 p.m. January 6th when three men approached them. One of the men, 25-year-old Patrick Davis pulled out a gun and announced is was a robbery, but the would-be victims fought back.
One of the men managed to grab Davis’ gun and shoot him. Authorities say Davis was taken to a local hospital, but died from his injures.
After examining the evidence the prosecuting attorney’s office said the shooting and subsequent killing was justified. It was the first fatal shooting of 2014.
