Planned Shutdown of Westbound I-70 at St. Louis Postponed

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Westbound Interstate 70 through downtown St. Louis will NOT be closed this weekend as previously scheduled.

MoDOT says it is postponing the closure until the next weekend: February 8th and 9th, because the prep-work won’t be done in time.

The complete shutdown of the westbound lanes, and the intermittent closure of the eastbound lanes, will allow crews to install girders for the new Walnut Street bridge as part of the ‘lid’ over the highway project.
