ST. LOUIS (KMOX)- It’s been more than 50 years since the St. Louis Billikens have made as big a one-week jump in the national rankings as they’ve done this week.

The voters of the Associated Press men’s college basketball poll placed the 20-2 Bills 13th, up from 19 the previous week.

St. Louis is 7-0 in Atlantic 10 Conference play and has won 14 straight games.

The A.P.’s Top 5 this week includes: Syracuse, Arizona, Florida, Wichita State, and San Diego State.

The national coaches poll shows a big of disagreement with the success of the Billikens. The coaches actually dropped SLU one spot, from 20th to 21st.
