O’Fallon, Ill. (KMOX) – Police apprehended a man who allegedly robbed a bank about ten blocks from the bank and he was on a bicycle.
“Officers who were responding to the area located the subject on a bicycle approximately 10-15 blocks from the Scott Credit Union,” says Detective Lt. Mick Hunter.
Hunter says the man entered the Scott Credit Union on West Highway 50 at about 3:15 Wednesday, showed what appeared to be a weapon and handed a teller a note.
He says thanks to a good description from witnesses they stopped the man and determined right away they had the right guy.
“The subject still had the note on his person along with the cash,” says Hunter.
Charges are expected to be filed Thursday.
