ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A former St. Louis Alderwoman who admitted using campaign money to buy stuff for herself may be facing a criminal investigation.
The case of former Sixth Ward Alderwoman Kacie Starr Triplett is now “under review” by the St. Louis Circuit Attorney. Last week, the Missouri Ethics Commission ordered Triplett to pay $10,000 in fines in 45 days, or face a fine as large as a $100,000. Triplett released a letter to supporters confessing she had acted out of “greed,” using the money to pay for things she desired, but couldn’t afford.
Triplett did not return our calls seeking comment.
