Mo. Lawmakers Examine “Exercise Tax”

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX) – Missouri lawmakers want exercising to be taxing and not taxed.

Sales tax is charged on admission and fees for places of entertainment and recreation, which has been determined to include fitness centers and other athletic and exercise facilities.

Lawmakers this year are advancing legislation aimed at reining in the sales tax.
