ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Various media outlets, including NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, are reporting the St. Louis Rams have signed their first NFL free agent from outside the organization this offseason.
Alex Carrington was a starting defensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills last season, until he tore a quadriceps tendon and was placed on injured reserve in September.
The 6’5″ 301 lb. Arkansas State alum was selected by Buffalo in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft.
Other teams reportedly interested in Carrington as a free agent were: Cleveland, Oakland, and Pittsburgh.
