ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Last month, the St. Louis Blues alerted the media about three Blues players’ bags that were missing following the Winter Olympics in Sochi. 21 pieces of luggage belonging to Blues players David Backes, T.J. Oshie and Alex Pietrangelo were picked up by FedEx in Newark, New Jersey on February 26th, but only 18 arrived in St. Louis on March 7th. Shortly after the team issued the all points bulletin, the players’ bags were located and shipped back to St. Louis – all except T.J. Oshie’s bag, that is.
On Friday, Dan O’Neill, assistant director of media relations for the St. Louis Blues, sent a follow-up email saying that while bags belonging to David Backes and Alex Pietrangelo were located and returned, Oshie’s bag was not found.
“After about 20 days of allowing FedEx to do an internal search, we are hoping to enlist outside help again,” O’Neill said.
The missing bag is Oshie’s USA bag from the Winter Olympics.
The team is hoping to draw some attention to the situation in an effort to locate Oshie’s bag.
“We are not attempting to bury FedEx here, but simply trying to use all of our resources to resolve the issue,” O’Neill explained.
Anyone with information on the bag’s whereabouts should contact the Blues at 314-622-2583 and ask for Dan O’Neill.
